TLDR

Here’s my current thinking about the “Onchain Dreamers” community channel, let me know your thoughts

Essentially it’s gonna be like “Builders Connect like community for dreamers globally hosted on Farcaster”.

Dreamers include and aren’t limited to builders, founders, creators, artists, designers, writers, memers etc

Any with a dream to build or create something and contribute meaningfully to the onchain economy

Culture should be a mix of /founders (people) x /degen (cultural affinity) x /meme (fun)

Content pillars

  1. Dreamer stories / BIP (wins & lows) - FUN - “Fuck Up Night”
  2. Tipping (in a thoughtful way, non-spammy)
  3. Memes - fun, entertaining, engaging
  4. Launches - share and get feedback on anything you’ve created
  5. Visual: Screenshots Essays & pictures/videos

How do we seed the community?

  1. We make it /base & /degen aligned (this is to amplify our channel within the most popular farcaster communities but we need to filter for high quality)
  2. We create a pool of $5000 to gift warps to people who apply & we select (there are lots of people who can’t access Warpcast because of this $5)
  3. We will ask for their BoardPass in the application form (they need to have an Onboard account)
  4. If you are already on Farcaster, we will gift you warps (and encourage you to gift it to another dreamer - the potential dreamer has to apply)
  5. In subsequent rounds, I’ll see if I can get other FC KOLs to contribute to the pool or even get a grant from Base
  6. As hosts we have to be very intentional about the type of content we post, amplify, incentivize & pin (I don’t want it to be to “degen-like”)
  7. Is it possible to auto-mod/restrict who can post on a farcaster channel to improve its quality?

WTF?

Onchain Dreamers is a DAO with a goal to expand the Onboard Protocol and the broader Onchain Economy on BASE.

We are a community for anyone interested in contributing to creating a global Onchain Economy that’s accessible, inclusive and meritocratic to all.

We also fund small grants via Prop House and larger on-chain proposals which help make the dream to bring a billion people onchain a reality.
